How to choose a suitable configuration of laser marking machine?

1. Switching power supply

Now laser equipment manufacturers use two major brands of switching power supply: Mingwei (WM) and Hengfu (hf), but there are many counterfeit switching power supplies of big brands on the market. When the external power supply of the terminal is unstable, it is easy to cause the fiber laser alarm (fiber laser temperature is too high, fiber laser system failure), and the fiber laser does not emit light (when the 24V power supply voltage is low).

Commonly used 20W and 30W pulsed fiber lasers are equipped with standard switching power supply 24V (10A); galvanometer with ±15V; control board with 5V.

The correct power-on sequence of the marking machine: the control board (5V) is powered on first, and then the laser (24V) is powered on; if the laser is powered on first, and then the control board is powered on, the laser will emit light abnormally at the moment of power-on.

2. Control board

Try to choose the official genuine card, the commonly used one is JCZ, while SCAPS (SAMLight) is rarely used in the market. Now most equipment manufacturers use pirated cards considering the cost. Because there are too many sources and types of pirated cards, the quality is difficult to guarantee, and the signal is often unstable during the control process, resulting in abnormal light output from the marking machine:

The marking machine uses the JCZ board:

Optical fiber marking machine select fiber optic card; green light and UV marking machine select digital card;

To control the MOPA fiber laser, use the board of version V2 (above 2.7.6), in the parameter setting interface, select IPG-YLPM for fiber type, and check "Enable pulse width setting". To control the Q-switched fiber laser, use the V1 version of the USB or PCI board, and select IPG-YLP for the fiber type.

3. Galvanometer

The quality of galvanometer determines the marking effect and efficiency. For fast marking or fine marking, imported galvanometers can be selected, such as Scanlab, Raylase and CTI, etc. For conventional marking, domestic galvanometers can be selected, such as HZL, Sino-Galvo, Ouya and so on.

The laser enters the X/Y mirror inside the galvanometer, and the mirror swings to form different marking patterns. Different types of marking machines should choose galvanometers with wavelength types: optical fiber marking machines choose 1064nm wavelength galvanometers; green marking machines choose 532nm wavelength galvanometers, and UV marking machines choose 355nm wavelength galvanometers.

4. Focus lens

The field lens is also called a plane focusing lens. The evaluation of the advantages and disadvantages of the field lens is mainly based on the following aspects:

1. Planar focusing uniformity: The more uniform the focusing on the entire surface, the better the quality.

2. Laser transmittance: The stronger the laser transmittance, the lower the power loss and the better the quality.

The field lens is mainly divided into quartz material and ordinary glass (K9). Quartz material has a low thermal expansion coefficient and basically has no thermal lens problem, so it is suitable for marking machines with a laser power of more than 100W; ordinary glass field lenses are suitable for marking machines with a laser power of less than 100W.

Commonly used domestic field mirrors include Nanjing Wavelength, Nanjing Tiankai, and Suzhou Yuxin; imported field mirrors include linos, which are more expensive and less used. Different quality field lenses have great differences in light transmittance and efficiency in deep engraving.

The difference of the field lens is mainly determined by the material, quantity and overall structure of the lens. The inferior field lens will have the following effects on the marking effect:
